Play areas can become a little, shall we say, congested – after the holidays. How is yours shaping up? Can you still see the floor? Are you able to actually get the door open at all? One of the things we love doing best is helping families create lovable, comfortable living spaces, and the play room or area should be no exception. We can help you tame those toys with a few foam mats and some imagination!
To create a play space where kids enjoy being, you have to start with a comfortable floor, and our 3/8″ EVA foam mats are a perfect place to start. Kids will play anywhere there’s room, but they’re much more likely to want to be in a place designated for their toys if it’s a comfortable room. With 16 different colors to choose from, you’ll be able to create a visibly pleasing floor as well as a cozy one. If they’re old enough, you might even let the kids help choose the colors. You can pick out a couple of different colors to make fun patterns, too. And they’re so easy to install, the kiddos can help with that, too. The mats fit together like giant puzzle pieces (only there’s no picture on a box to help you figure it out…just kidding…) and can be taken up and rearranged whenever the notion takes you.
Now, what if you don’t have a whole room to give up for a playroom? What if the play area is, well, your living room?! Stepping on armed action figures is the worst, but you can help contain the toy sprawl by designating a small area with comfortable EVA mats. Keeping control of your decor might seem impossible with bright solid colors, so if that’s not your answer, take a look at some of our wood grain mats. They’re the same thickness as the multi-purpose mats, but look a whole lot more like a grown-up floor. With our Forest Floor line and our Classic Oak, there’s bound to be one that fits your style. That way, the play area is still obviously defined, but blends in seamlessly with the rest of the room.
Fair warning: the kids are so imaginative and creative with our play mats that you may discover one day that the floor has become the toy. No worries – the mats are resilient, flexible, and can be placed and replaced over and over. Look for castles, fortresses, city blocks, and race tracks – and then watch them dissolve into a floor again. The answer to the Toy Takeover is simply some really fun floor mats. Really, it is!
