Too Hot to Work Out?

Overheated runner

It’s about that time of year where it just gets way, WAY too hot to be working out outside as much, so you might have noticed your fitness routines sneaking inside a little more often. Or, if you’re a gym owner, you might be seeing a few more folks coming your way. Whatever the case may be, it’s likely that there’s a mat that can make your situation just a little bit easier. With increased gym traffic, your floors might be getting a little more wear than usual, so putting some flooring mats down (or topping up your supply of replacements for the ones you already have) can help keep the building in good shape, and the patrons happy. If you’re working out in your home, a personal exercise mat can make exercises that contact the floor a whole lot more comfortable, and easier to do for a longer period of time.

Of course, if the warm weather just makes you want to do your fitness routine outside even more, many of our mats, like the yoga mats, are super-convenient to take outside so that you can enjoy the weather without worrying so much about what’s beneath your feet. Even the EVA mats are durable enough to function outside, so if you’re teaching a class and you’ve got a good spot to do it out there, you might find a new best friend in EVA. They’re super easy to clean, too, so if your yoga class turns into a hot yoga class, just hose the mats down and let them dry in the sun.

Fitness is a year-round thing, even if the routine does change a little depending on the seasons. If you could use a little help navigating those changes and figuring out what kind of mats are most appropriate to your specific situation, don’t hesitate to give us a call!
